Hi guys, I know this post may sound obvious for some of you, but I decided to put it here anyway!

Never share your password,  NEVER!

Here is why is a bad idea:

  • Your password is your unique key to your digital life
  • You can view like that: Sharing your password  is the same as giving away your personal identity
  • If anything happens with your account after sharing your password, you won’t be able to track down the origin of the breach
  • Worst, if something very very bad happens with the account that you’ve just shared, you will be held responsible
  • Even if you prove that you haven’t committed the action related to the breach, you will end up being responsible for irresponsibly sharing your password 

So if you need to give access to someone, here is the blueprint on how to proceed:

  • Create a separate username and password for the person you want to share the access
  • Share the credential through a password manager app
  • Never share it on any instant messenger app
  • If you don’t have a password manager app, please use a good encrypted messaging app like signal: https://signal.org/
